What are the benefits of a Mercedes-Benz Genuine Remanufactured AIRMATIC compressor?
With the AIRMATIC compressor, your vehicle can adapt to any road surface. Damping is automatically controlled on each wheel, making for a smooth ride on bumpy roads. As a remanufactured part, our spare part is built to the same quality as a new part.
How does an AIRMATIC compressor work?
The air compressor is driven by the compressor motor and sucks the air to be compressed under the piston. The air is routed by the downward movement of the piston to a clearance volume and then compressed by the upward movement of the piston. The compressed air is dried and is then ready to be routed to the suspension struts. The pressure relief valve on the compressor helps to lower the vehicle, and the air that is discharged during this process also cleans the air filter.
