What are the advantages of the Mercedes-Benz Genuine Remnaufactured cylinder head?

The Mercedes-Benz Genuine Remanufactured cylinder head is as dimensionally accurate, efficient and reliable as the Mercedes-Benz new part equivalent because it is remanufactured in accordance with the same quality standards as are applied to series production. The cylinder head undergoes concentric turning, the combustion chamber joint faces are repeatedly induction-hardened and valve seat rings are aligned and adjusted fully automatically. The result is a cylinder head that facilitates the best possible compression so that performance characteristics and longevity are ensured and are comparable with the quality standard of a new part.

How does a cylinder head work?

The cylinder head closes off the top of the combustion chamber in a combustion engine. It seals off the combustion chamber against the engine block, helps form the combustion-chamber shape and dissipates part of the combustion heat. It houses valves and valve springs. The cylinder head is completed at the top with the valve cap. It therefore contains the essential component parts for mechanically controlling gas interchange.

How to recognize a defect:
